Touriga Nacional is a variety of red grape, considered by many to be Portugal's finest. Despite the low yields from its small, thick-skinned grapes, it is an essential component of port wine blends, and is increasingly being incorporated into wines in the Douro and Dão regions. Touriga Nacional is known for bringing structure and complexity, as well as rich tannins and concentrated floral and black fruit flavours.
