James Suckling

A wine score is the quickest, simplest way for a wine critic to communicate their opinion about the quality of a wine.

  • Tasting Notes

Intense garnet-red color with purplish highlights. The bouquet of Clos de Boüard seduces with its finesse and delicacy, revealing beautiful fruity notes, with accents of blackberry, blueberry and a touch of licorice wood. The attack is greedy and unctuous, carried by a fine texture. The palate is full-bodied, with silky, mellow tannins, supported by a juicy structure that brings freshness and energy. A racy, charming and expressive wine. Vintage after vintage, Clos de Boüard wines are distinguished by ever greater precision and definition.
