Tasting Notes
Crasto Altitude 430 captures the essence of high-altitude Douro wines with a garnet hue and an expressive bouquet. The nose reveals clean, well-defined aromas of fresh red fruits, elegantly balanced with hints of fine spices and aromatic woodland. On the palate, it is captivating, showcasing impressive volume and an exceptionally fine texture. The blend of Tinta Francisca (70%) and Touriga Nacional (30%) brings a unique profile, combining freshness, structure, and vibrant acidity. Low in alcohol, this wine stands out for its elegance and distinct character, marking a new chapter in Quinta do Crasto’s dedication to crafting extraordinary Douro wines.

Vinification and Aging
The harvested grapes are transported in 22 kg plastic crates, then carefully sorted on arrival at the winery. They are then destemmed, lightly crushed and transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Fermentation lasts 4 days, with skin contact and very gentle extraction. After pressing, the grapes are transferred to barrels, where fermentation is completed.
Aging continues for 12 months in old French oak barrels, giving the wine complexity and finesse.
