Tasting Notes
Tasted in June 2019 before bottling, this attractive red wine already possessed an enticing deep ruby, almost purple colour. The nose offers an exquisite expression of the Riparbella terroir with its mineral notes, black fruit, licorice and tobacco aromas, underscored by balsamic hints and seamlessly integrated oaked nuances. Right from the first sip, the palate impresses with its volume and complexity; its elegance and textural finesse. Both powerful and seductive, the high quality and impeccable pedigree of Tresoro’s inaugural vintage are undeniable. Just like Bolgheri, perhaps we will one day see... DOC Riparbella!

Vinification and Aging
14 months in 1st and 2nd transition French oak barriques. Two months in cocciopesto amphoras before being bottled.

Vulcanic, rocky and rich in iron for cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Clay and rich in sodium with a calcereous origin for the cabernet franc.
