The Rothschild Style: Entrepreneurship, Excellence and Elegance
While their operations in Champagne only date back a dozen years, the Barons de Rothschild have 165 years of experience in Bordeaux, accompanied by the quality and art of living they have epitomized for some two and a half centuries.
“We share many values of excellence with Galleon [Vins Philippe Dandurand], the ideal partner for supporting our young firm’s goal of winning over Quebec.”
- Champagne Barons de Rothschild
Solid Family Values
The Rothschild family motto is: “Unity, Integrity, Industry.” Humanism is an additional family rule. To ensure the success of their project in Champagne, the house’s founders have forged strong bonds with local producers who have worked for generations to create outstanding vintages.
Grapes Picked Like Diamonds
Chardonnay grapes, the traditional variety used for Champagne Barons de Rothschild’s exclusive process, are only grown in Grands Crus and Premiers Crus vineyards and are selected with the same care used for precious stones. These extremely fine, incomparably flavoured wines are blended with jewel-like execution.
Extraordinary Cuisine-Champagne Pairing
Amazing palate: Cuvée Blanc de Blancs 2008 served with foie gras, spicy ratafia de champagne, pear chutney and carmelized quince. A creation of Philippe Mille, starred chef of the Domaine Les Crayères (Guide Michelin:) to accompany the wine recommended by house sommelier Philippe Jamesse. The champagne’s subtle aromas blend perfectly with this culinary delight, and are complemented by its fine, piquant notes.
Great Tasting Moment
“A remarkable moment of conviviality and exchange: presentation of the new Cuvée Spéciale Vintage Blanc of Blancs 2008 vintage to specialists from the French press. The event took place in Paris in Benjamin de Rothschild’s mansion on rue de L’Elysée, flanked by the Rothschild family and excited guests gathered for the release of this outstanding, delicate and ever-so-subtle vintage” - Champagne Barons de Rothschild.
