Tasting Notes
A Burgundy of exceptional quality, from a small 0.65-acre parcel called Champ Franc, located in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin. Its rich ruby color and striking aromatic bouquet are sure to surprise the taster. It offers a broad, perfectly ripe aromatic palette, unfolding rich blackcurrant aromas with a subtle woody note of remarkable finesse and elegance. On the palate, it is both greedy and almost crunchy, with an imposing volume that leaves a strong impression on the finish. Without doubt, this Burgundy stands out for its exceptional character and impressive quality.

Vinification and Aging
The fermentation process begins using naturally-occurring yeasts, after a pre-fermentation cold maceration. The extraction process is gentle, with little pigeage.
Maturation in oak barrels for 14-16 months.

Terroir
Since the 2016 vintage, they have chosen to convert their vineyard plots to organic farming and work with conviction on biodynamic farming methods and herbal treatments. The soils of all the estate's plots are worked sparingly to maintain their microbiological life systems. To improve yield, the vines, once pruned, are disbudded and thinned early, by hand.
