Xavier Monnot's Chassagne-Montrachet Village 2022 has a brilliant golden yellow color. On the nose, delicate aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus fruit and a subtle touch of wood combine to form a captivating bouquet, typical of Chassagne-Montrachet. On the palate, the wine reveals perfect harmony between lively acidity and silky texture. Juicy stone fruit flavors, elegant minerality and a hint of vanilla combine to offer an impressive tasting experience, prolonged by a long, refined finish.

Hand-harvesting takes place in the Chassagne-Montrachet region, south of the Côte de Beaune, on an east-southeast-facing slope between Puligny, Montrachet and Santenay. The wines are aged for around 16 months, including 12 months in traditional 228-liter Burgundy barrels, with 20-30% new wood. The soils, marked by the presence of iron oxides, contribute to the complexity and unique character of the wines.

Domaine Xavier Monnot, located in Meursault, is one of Burgundy's emblematic producers, renowned for wines combining purity of fruit, elegance and complexity. Born of a long family tradition (formerly Domaine René Monnier), Xavier took over the reins in 2005, modernizing the domaine while preserving its heritage.

With 42 hectares of vines stretching from Beaune to Maranges, the domaine produces 60% white and 40% red wines, including several prestigious Premier Crus in Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Beaune, Volnay and Maranges. Xavier prefers vines that are 30 to 40 years old, and practices integrated vineyard management to preserve the natural balance of the terroirs.
