Tasting Notes
Auxey-Duresses Blanc brilliantly embodies the qualitative potential and value for money still available on the Côte de Beaune. Produced from a single five-hectare block of 90-year-old Chardonnay vines, located at Le Hoz and cultivated by the Paquet family since 1950, this wine reveals seductive aromas of ripe orchard fruit, citrus and elegant minerality on the nose. The palate is marked by beautiful tension and freshness, balancing an unctuous texture and a concentration of generous fruit mingled with complex mineral nuances. The finish is long, precise and persistent. A superb white Burgundy at a particularly attractive price, perfect for discerning connoisseurs.

Terroir
This wine comes from the domaine's historic parcel: a 5-hectare block of land, ideally south-facing, located in the hamlet of Melin, Auxey-Duresses. Les Hoz" is divided between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The Chardonnay vines, planted in the early 20th century, are now almost 90 years old. Back then, plantings were the result of massal selection. After a period of using clones, in 2017 she chose to return to massal selection for the estate's new plantings, taking the planting material directly from this plot. She is currently in the final stage of multiplying her own plants.
The terroir, very chalky, is characterized by white soil and deep earth, giving the wine structure and precision.
