The deep red color is magnificent. The nose is lively with aromas of red berries such as raspberry, redcurrant and cherry, accompanied by a touch of slightly wild bramble, characteristic of Hautes-Côtes. There are also deep notes of spices such as cumin and thyme, as well as camphor. On the palate, the attack is very pleasant, balanced and persistent, offering a vibrant, fresh and elegant sensation. The finish is marked by a light touch of licorice and a refreshing salinity.

Each plot is vinified and aged individually. The grapes are entirely destemmed, except for those from the hillside plot of Vergy (2%), which are vinified as whole grapes. Rapid vinification at a controlled temperature, not exceeding 29°C, preserves the distinctive freshness of Hautes-Côtes de Nuits wines. Barrel ageing (17% new barrels) lasts 9 months.

Their cuvée is a blend of Pinot Noir grapes from the finest terroirs of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. The grapes come from carefully selected plots, including those on the slopes of Villars Fontaine (50%), at the same latitude as Vosne-Romanée, Les Dames Huguettes (33%) overlooking Nuits-Saint-Georges, and plots in Magny-les-Villiers and Villiers-la-Faye (15%). A further 2% comes from the hillside of Vergy, at an altitude of 450 metres. These terroirs, mainly oriented east-southeast and perched 150 meters above the Côte, benefit from cool nights throughout the ripening period, giving the wines their characteristic purity and freshness.
